KSDA RECEIVES ACADEMIC REPORT FOR 41 SCHOLARSHIP BENEFICIARIES INCLUDING 4 GRADUATES-49 NEW APPLICANTS TO BE VETTEDThe Konobo Statutory District Association in the Americas (KSDA) has received from the Grand Gedeh County Community College (GGCCC), report of academic performance of forty-one (41) KSDA's Scholarship beneficiaries at GGCCC. The report is for the September-December, 2016 Academic Semester.The report outlines KSDA's scholarship distribution by academic program, the scholarship frequency distribution and students' grades. The report also includes grades of four beneficiaries who completed their courses at GGCCC in November, 2016, and graduated in December, 2016, with Associate of Arts degrees in Business, Public Administration and Education.At current, two of the graduates (Rose B. Youboty and Neah E. Tardey) have successfully passed the recruitment test of the Liberia Bank for Development & Investment (LBDI), and are currently undergoing training at the bank's headquarters in Monrovia for subsequent deployment at its branch in Zwedru.KSDA is working out modalities for the other two graduates to secure voluntary or gainful employment with the Liberian Ministry of Education and return to the District to teach for a least a year. The submission of students' academic records per semester, is GGCCC's way of fulfilling an important part of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between KSDA and the College.Meanwhile, KSDA Education Committee is currently preparing to vet a batch of forty nine (49) new applicants for scholarship. KSDA has since made the development of Human Resource Capacity of Grand Gedeh County and Liberia at large, one of its priorities. The College will be notified of qualified applicants and to admit them, once the vetting process is completed.KSDA National Administration openly extends warm gratitude to donors and contributors to its Education Fund (KEF). the organization encourages more donations, as all funds donated will be used to provide financial subsidies or scholarships to qualified students from Glio, Twabo, Putu and Konobo in particular and Grand Gedeh County at large.Monetary and other donations to KSDA and, or its Education Fund are tax deductible.
